Since my last post it’s been kind of busy. Kyle has been doing great with all his therapies, he’s started preschool, and is coming out with new words all the time.
It’s also been a tough time. Earlier this month, we took him to a developmental pediatrician, who has diagnosed him as having an autism spectrum disorder. Thankfully, nobody that really spends time with him agrees with this diagnosis, so we’re not letting it get us down, but it’s not what you want to hear.
Kiki has also been busy, a couple of weeks ago she sat for a test that will hopefully give us some updated information on her abilities, and that we can use to try and get her school to finally give her some appropriate classes. Sometimes I feel like I’m banging my head against the wall trying to get her school to see that she is not being challenged, their focus is always on her ADD, as if that is all that defines her. It is so frustrating. Argh!
Thank you, believe me I have my moments, but this is a walk in the park compared to what some go through.
